Chopeta C. Lyons
Chopeta Lyons provides award-winning design and development services for technology-based, instructor-led and blended training solutions. As Vice President of Product Development for Learning Edge, Inc., Director of Multimedia Development for American Management Systems and Principal AT Courseware Developers, she has over 15 years experience defining, designing and directing teams of interface designers, writers, programmers, talent, and graphic designers to create custom solutions for the training needs of corporations and organizations.
A frequent speaker at eLearning and Instructional Design conferences, she is the author of two books -- Graphics for Learning with Dr. Ruth Clark (Jossey Bass/Pfieffer, a Wiley Imprint) and Discover Writing (Prentice-Hall). She has written on all facets of the design and development of instruction, including such recent articles as: "More than Eye Candy", eLearning Journal September 2003; "Avoiding Shovelware", STC IMprints January 2001; "Using Web-Based Training Wisely", Training Magazine 36 (7) August 1999 and "Crossing Over: Evaluating Training", Imprints September 1999.
